WiseTech’s chief executive Zubin Appoo told investors on Wednesday the business will fire 50 per cent of its client service and software development employees as AI programmers and agents can now do their roles. “I am prepared to say this clearly, the era of manually writing code as the core act of (software) engineering is over,” said Mr Appoo.
